About Us

Pause for Discussion came to be when three young men saw a void in modern-day discussion, especially among their own generation. We ask that as you engage with our content you intentionally pause and read (or listen) with an open mind. Feel free to engage with us on our views by leaving comments or emailing us. Our hope is to encourage critical thinking and bridge the gap between our thoughts and yours.

Theology and Ministry

About Ben

Ben was born and raised in southern Illinois. Though he will always claim Illinois as his homeland, his interests and passions take him far beyond the corn fields of the “Land of Lincoln.” He and his wife, Tori, are both graduates of Welch College in Gallatin, Tennessee and currently live in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, where Ben pastors Serenity Church. A major in Intercultural Studies and a minor in Music leave no questions as to where Ben’s heart is. He loves people and serving the local church, which often includes music in some form. In addition to these, he’s quite the foodie and coffee snob, and his ADHD brain keeps him busy with just about any random project you could come up with. Oh, and cats–he loves them. Here at P4D, Ben’s writing will focus primarily on theology and ministry, with the occasional ramble about food and “any random [topic] you can think of.”
